Final Moment Band Ignites National Night Out

final moment bandNational Night Out took place in Downtown Zephyrhills on Thursday, August 4, 2009 and a variety of activites took place under the auspices of the Zephyrhills Police Department and Main Street Zephyrhills. This nationwide event once again united this area and introduced them to services available and helped to increase crime safety awareness to the community and area youth. Local organizations set up on 5th Ave and talked with those in attendance about a variety of services. Food, fun and games was on the agenda for the night. Another highlight of the evening was local entertainment with Dr. Dr. Thayer of WZPH 96.7FM who acted as Master of Ceremonies. One of the highlights was the Christian band “Final Moment” which included Barney Barnard on Vocals and Lead Guitar, Ciara Brittany on Vocals, Chris First on Percussion and Phillip Fernandez on Bass. Richard Wingo was the sound man and technical advisor. This band did a nice mix of Christian Music and Rock n Roll. The highlight to me was the final song “Voodoo Child”  that cleverly slid into an original, “Tomorrow Might Not Come“.  The latter had a strong Christian message. If you don’t remember all the songs, you definately will remember the message.  If you get a chance check out their website on myspace at: www.myspace.com/finalmomentband25
