Varsity Rivals Meet Under The Lights on Thursday For Some Spring Football

Zephyrhills Bulldog second year coach Reggie Roberts has a question. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL? Football fans from this side of the county will be setting their sights on Bulldog Stadium at Zephyrhills High School this Thursday night as the Bulldogs play host to the Pasco Pirates from Dade City in a Spring football game. Coach Roberts is expecting the Bulldogs to have a much better upcoming season after finishing 2 – 8 under his first year at the helm. I could give my thoughts  on the game but will leave that to the experts. I can say one thing for sure, there will be lots of orange and black and red and black at the game this week. Win or lose it will be great to take a peek and see what the upcoming 2011/2012 season may have in store for these rivals. My wife Jenny, Evan & Kristen all are graduates of PHS and I am the lone ZHS alumni in the family.  In any event, I am looking forward to seeing friends that I haven’t seen since the last BIG game from both football programs.  If you get a chance come up to the press-box and say hi. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. See ya there!!!
